Wow! What
a great win to the Brisbane
Lions in the 2001 AFL Grand Final! Congratulations.
Both
teams used the Arctic Heat Cooling Vests during the game to combat
the exhausting 27 degree heat, so the Arctic Heat team couldn't show
any bias to one team.
But
with our R&D Manager, Andrew Bews, being a former champion player
and Managing Director, Shane Williams, being the former Head Trainer
at the Lions it was a little hard for the boys not to get excited!
A
tremendous boost for Arctic Heat was the 'Boundary Rider', Robert "Dipper" Dipierdomenico
doing his pre-game report and talking about the impact that the vests
could have on the end result. With the TV audience in Australia
at over 3 million, that is publicity money cannot buy and was just
great for us. Thanks Dipper!
Pre-game
publicity of the vests was tremendous, with Lions spearhead Alistair
Lynch commenting on the importance of the vests in a major newspaper. Thanks
Alistair.
The
vest have had a major impact on the sport in Australia and we look
forward to a long association in helping the AFL deal with the dangers
of heat stress.
