Catches On
The Australian
Baseball Federation is the latest elite sporting body to recognize the
benefits of the revolutionary Arctic Heat Body Cooling Vest. The vests
were introduced by ABF National Sports Medicine Manager, Bruce Rawson
and the concept was quickly sanctioned by High Performance Manager
Brett Pickett.
Arctic Heat
delivered custom made vests for the under 17 AA side and the open
men’s team within a week of the order being placed, a feat applauded
by the Federation. The AA team has just competed in the World
Championships in Mexico which were played in very hot conditions. The
boys won the Bronze Medal in a fine performance and found the vests a
great assistance in coping with the heat, aiding their performance and
recovery.
A great advantage
of the vests is the fact that the boys were able to wear them while
playing, a feature unique to the Arctic Heat vest. The men’s side,
current Olympic Silver Medalists, are now in Europe preparing for
their World Championships and are looking forward to the using the
vests to assist their performance in hot conditions.
Australia is the
first Baseball side to use the vests so Bruce and Brett are to be
congratulated on their proactive approach. This again shows Australia
is a world leader in introducing innovative ideas to their athletes.
