Quick tips with Arctic Heat.

HEAT STRESS AND ITS PREVENTION

Heat stress has five major effects:
1: weakness
2: confusion
3: vomiting/diarrhoea
4: headache/visual disturbance
5: poor co-ordination

How to prevent it:
1. Pre-hydration 12-24 hours before exercise, water for exercise less than an hour, sports drinks for exercise more than an hour Pre-cooling with an Arctic Heat cooling vests (for 1 hour prior to exercise)
2. Carbohydrate intake before exercise
3. Liquid intake every 10-15 minutes during exercise
4. Wear clothing which allows heat to radiate
5. Avoid extreme weather conditions
